STANTON CO., NE – One person sustained injuries Thursday in a rear-end collision along the highway in northwest Stanton County.
The accident occurred shortly before 10:30 a.m. on the eastbound side of Highway 24 between Norfolk and Stanton.
An early investigation indicates that the driver of an eastbound SUV rear-ended another SUV along the highway after becoming distracted and failing to notice the car ahead had slowed.
The three occupants of the vehicle in front did not require hospitalization.
One person from the rear vehicle went to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
A full investigation is underway.
