DAKOTA COUNTY, NE – A 64-year-old woman lost her life Saturday evening as a result of a three-vehicle collision in South Sioux City that left at least two other people, including a child, injured.
First responders were dispatched to the scene at the intersection of College Way and Highway 77 Bypass shortly before 6:30 p.m.
The events leading up to the accident remain under investigation, but local police said two adults and a child were rushed to an area hospital.
While the conditions of those patients were not immediately disclosed, officials confirmed that one of the drivers, a 64-year-old woman, was pronounced deceased following the crash.
While no charges or citations have been reported an investigation remains in progress.
